Why Are Past Lives Important? What Do They Have to Do with This Lifetime?

As a soul, we choose to go on a specific journey. Within that journey are lifetimes of experiences that are meant to trigger a variety of different emotions in us. However, in most of our past lives, we suppressed the emotions that we were meant to let flow and feel completely.
