“Bringing the expectations that you have to any situation colors your perception of it. We suggest that you leave your expectations behind and experience the person you are meeting, the task you are participating in, or the journey you are taking from a fresh and pure place of having no expectations whatsoever.
It will be much easier for you to be present and to receive the gifts that the moment has to offer you if your perspective is one of exploration rather than expectation. Now, when something that you are experiencing is not in harmony with your vibration and your intentions, you are under no obligation to continue to explore that which you are experiencing.
You always get to decide what you participate in and what you do not. But if you are going to participate in something, then it serves you to leave your expectations behind and to look for the opportunities to experience yourself in new ways. Look for opportunities to spread some of the love and joy that you are around.
When you go into something with an expectation, you are more likely to be asking something from it. And you also run the risk of missing those opportunities for joy, love, and expansion because you have set very low expectations for whatever or whoever it is you are engaging with.
By opening yourself up and being willing to participate purely in the moment, you can actually see possibilities that would have otherwise not been visible to you if you had entered into that moment with a very rigid expectation for it.
Your expectations stem from your beliefs, and your beliefs are always about the old and what has been. But you are here to create the new. And therefore if you are going to expect anything, expect more from yourself and your abilities to be more of who you are, no matter what the moment brings.
