“Lightening the mood is a practice that we do not see enough of. By lightening the mood in serious situation, you take some of the tension out of everyone who is involved. You see this approach taken in your stories, your plays, and your movies. There is something called ‘comic relief’ that has been employed by storytellers for hundreds of years.
Everyone needs a little comic relief from time to time, taking the edge off of what may seem to be dire circumstances. Give yourselves full use of this tool when it comes to those areas of your lives that you have been taking a little too seriously. It may be a challenge for you to see the humor in a situation, especially when it has been plaguing you for quite some time.
So that is why we are inviting you, imploring you to consciously lighten the mood. Look for the laugh, the joke. And begin to notice that when you do so, solutions come, help comes. You are not disrespecting anything or anyone by taking a lighter approach. And when you do, you give others permission to remove some of the heaviness from their own lives.
So it is not necessary for you to approach a serious situation with serious energy. In fact, bringing new energy, unfamiliar energy, to something in your lives is just the thing to disrupt the status quo. And sometimes lightening the mood can help you realize that what seemed like an insurmountable task, an unsolvable problem, an unrelenting dilemma, was nothing more than a joke that you were playing on yourselves.
We are Michael. We are infinite. We are Love.”
