“Losing yourself in an activity welcomes a new you to emerge. All activities that you engage in offer you the opportunity to lose yourselves. And when you do, the you that emerges on the other side contains all that you were and more.
If there is something that you do that allows you to feel free and fully engaged at the same time, then this is something that you need to do often. Whether or not you think you have time to do the things that you lose yourselves in, you do have the time. But if you are not making time to do those things, then it is because you are clinging to the current version of yourself that you experience.
As much as you enjoy participating in activities where you lose yourselves, you also fear that ‘losing yourself’ means losing your identity. As many of you know, your identity is not comprised of your social security number, birthdate, name, country, and so on. Your identity is much larger than all the ways in which you could define it.
But having witnessed all of you and noticing the way you cling to various aspects of yourselves, we just want to say that it would behoove all of you to free yourselves from the concept of identity. The idea that anything could define you is a limitation. So lose yourselves, let go of your identities, and be willing to get lost, for that is the only way you will ever truly find yourselves.
We are Michael. We are infinite. We are Love.”
