“We will provide for you an example that will help you in your process of becoming who it is that you are evolving to be. When you see the caterpillar and you observe the way that it is so grounded and how it has a particular shape and you notice the way that it moves, the way that it lives, and then you consider the butterfly and you notice how the butterfly flies through the air, how it has such a freedom of mobility, how it is so light and so beautiful. The butterfly is so carefree and so in love with its existence as a butterfly.
And when you consider the person that you have been and you wonder how it is even possible for you to grow into the being that you are becoming, you must consider the caterpillar and you must recognize that the butterfly could not be what the butterfly is without the work of the caterpillar, without everything that the caterpillar has experienced and what it has made of itself, all of that is necessary in order for the butterfly to exist as it does.
We want you to realize that there are examples such as these everywhere around you to remind you of the fact that the journey you are on may seem impossible for you to complete but that it is your destiny to become the butterfly, to soar through the air, and to live a life of freedom, love, beauty, joy, to be carefree, to light up everyone who comes in contact with you by your mere existence as your butterfly self.
This is where you are all headed, and we also want to remind you that the inside of a cocoon can be very, very dark. So just like you have your expression, ‘It is always darkest before the dawn,’ you have your examples of the caterpillar and the butterfly, to show you that no matter how it might seem, there is no reason whatsoever for you to lose your hope, to lose sight of where it is you are going, and to continue on your journey as the beautiful caterpillars that you now are.”
