Compliments & Insults ∞Quan Yin
“It is I, Quan Yin.
Before anyone receives a compliment, that person has given it to themselves, and before anyone is insulted, that person has given themselves the same criticism. Nothing ever comes to you from somewhere outside of you. You may not think it is appropriate for someone to say out loud, or to write, or even to think what it is that they express about you, but you obviously found it appropriate to say or think or write that sentiment about yourself.
Now, I am not urging you to be nicer to yourselves just so that others will be nicer to you. I encourage you to be nicer to yourselves because you deserve to receive all of the Love that you are.
Anything that another says to you or about you does not need to influence how you look at yourselves. But whatever it is the other is pointing out to you, you can certainly use it as an indicator. You can use every experience in your life as an indicator of your vibration.
And the way that you treat yourselves is the easiest thing for you to alter. It is easy because you spend all of your time with yourselves, and it is easy because all of you want to be loved, respected, and treated fairly. So start now. Start by paying yourself a compliment, by loving yourself, and by giving yourself exactly what you need to feel a little better than you did a moment ago.
I am Quan Yin, and I hold you in my heart.”
