“It is I, Quan Yin.
You know what to do in every situation that you are confronted with. You understand what is necessary and what is appropriate, but you tell yourselves the lie that says that you don’t always know. The lie is not coming from within you. It is coming from outside of you.
There are so many who want to influence you into doing some things and into not doing others, and that is always where your confusion comes from. Imagine what it was like for you to be a child. You never questioned what you were going to do next. You didn’t second-guess yourself. You followed your impulses, and your actions were pure and without hesitation.
It was only after parents, teachers, and other authority figures came into your awareness and re-directed you that you began to question yourselves. Once the questioning began, it became a part of your thought process.
So even as adults, you are still doing it. Oftentimes there is no one else around to re-direct you or to call into question what you are doing. And so now you do it to yourselves, and you make everything more complicated when you do.
The purity and the innocence of your childhood and your childlike states of being still exist within you. You may believe that you have outgrown them, but you have merely forgotten.
And I am here to remind you that the child that you once were, the child that did not doubt, or second-guess, or question his or her actions, does still exist within you. And all you have to do is intend to let the child within you out to play. And that will make your lives much less complicated.
I am Quan Yin, and I hold you in my heart.”
