“It is I, Quan Yin.
When it comes to your spirituality, there is a tendency amongst humans to put yourself in a box. You have a tendency to announce to the world that this is what I believe, this is what I am all about. And when you do so, you tend to think of these declarations as permanent.
Whenever you define yourself as something, you are putting that label on yourself to demonstrate where you are, and perhaps even, how far you’ve come. But the labels and the boxes that you use to define yourselves only limit you.
I suggest that you be open to all aspects of all belief systems that are available to you, regardless of what name they have attached to them. Anything that exists can be used and can be used to further your growth. Anything can also be used to thwart that growth because of your desire to be defined.
Whenever you talk about your beliefs as though they were permanent, you are in a sense cementing yourself right where you are. But as you let go of all labels, and any need to define yourself, you become open, you become limitless, and your potential for growth is exponential.
You are not here to find the right label, the right beliefs, or even the right spiritual practices and to adhere yourself to them. You are here to open your hearts to everything and everyone and to allow all of it to be of service to who and what you are and to who and what you are becoming.
I am Quan Yin, and I hold you in my heart.”
