“It is I, Quan Yin.
Begin to exercise your right to be unpredictable. Allow your behavior and your choices to shock yourselves. There is no need for you to be consistent in your actions, and there is much more joy to be had in surprising yourselves and everyone else.
So I suggest doing something that is out of character for you. Do so because you want to have a new experience and because you know that in the new experience you will expand. You will expand your sense of self. You will expand your horizons, and you will open yourself to another new experience, and another, and another.
When you look at your lives and you take stock of everything that you have ever done, you tend to put yourselves in little boxes. And then you talk about the box you are in as if it defines you. You define yourselves, and I know that you will have much more fun if you begin to define yourselves as unpredictable, spontaneous, and even impulsive.
It’s time to break free from self-imposed molds, because you are not who you have been. You never are who you have been, and therefore I recommend that you stop looking at past behaviors of yours to determine who you are now. Instead, really feel who you are in this moment and access who this new you really is. Allow the new you to guide your decisions and your actions, and be surprised by how much fun you can be.
I am Quan Yin, and I hold you in my heart.”
